Well...there's no sanctioned racing of any kind, but that's not to say that it doesn't happen. There are several thousand cars that drive up and down Woodward Avenue along a stretch of the road that's more than 15 miles in length. It is the largest 1-day auto event in the world (though this year there were people out cruising for the better part of a week beforehand). The police in the area try to be pretty hardass about it and shut down any bafoonery, but that doesn't stop it from happening outright. There are plenty of drags that happen along the way and I've probably inhaled enough rubber to last me a lifetime...anyway, probably won't update any more pics today, going windsurfing instead  |
