But i imagine that the only reason Klein is being benched is because DC would actually have something to say about it if he were the one taking a seat for the new comer. And the last thing a new team needs is a disgruntled veteran in the ranks

Nah, I doubt that's the case. The Red Bull boss said that he would give a chance to Liuzzi, no matter how good or bad Klien performed.
As I see it, it's a good move; having two pilots fighting for a seat can only be a good thing (see De la Rosa).
Besides, Liuzzi is Italian and Imola is in Italy...
