apparenty they water cool the rotors and when the air releases on the brakes, it also dumps on the rotors. i might go with them this year, since i won't get to go on the Indy roadtrip in June  |
Yea, it's pretty cool to see. Steam goes all over. When I saw them, it was an exhibition thing, so they had a little drivers conference thing before they went out. They said it was the only way to cool the brakes, otherwise they'd just glaze over rendering them totally useless.
I suppose it isn't a surprise, seeing as these things are heavier than the moon.
