It had terrible range, a rather atrocious ride and handled...well...like a big wallowy car with extremely stiff springs and a big heavy engine in the nose. If any V8 is going to find its way into the Fusion/Zephyr/Mazda6, then it had better be longitudinally-mounted, rear or 4wd, and the engine should probably be some version of the AJV8...probably the 3.5L unit that Jag uses in its low-level XJs.

yea that last SHO v8 taurus was pretty crappy, i dont think it was faster with the v8 anyways compared to the previos high output v6 they had because of the weight and also there was no manual transmission for it.
