other than the engine choices i really like this styling

I think your engine info might be a little further out of whack than I did originally. It occurred to me this morning that the 3.0L Duratec hasn't been on the market for very long at all. As far as I understand it, there are a couple of different 3.0 V6 engines in the Ford stockpile. The Duratec/Mazda unit in the Mazda 6 and its platform-sharers is based around the architecture of the 2.5L which was originally in the Contour/Mondeo/Mercury Mystique/Cougar etc... The 3.0 in the Taurus is a different engine so far as I can tell. There are actually 2 for that car, 1, the Vulcan which makes all of 150bhp and 2xx lb-ft of torque and a Duratec unit that produces 200bhp and 200lb-ft or something of that nature. However, I'm fairly confident that it's a different basic engine architecture than the unit in the Mazda 6 and what will be the Ford and Lincoln counterparts.

hmm actually you are correct about that i believe, i apologize if i was wrong

ops: however the main point i was trying to get across is that i am almost certain that whether its the same engine or not, it is currently making the same amount of power i.e. 200hp and around 200 ft-lbs that the taurus was making back in 1996 with the 3L V6.
