You might also want to get closer to (or zoom in on) the subject more so you won't have to crop as much (it's pretty obvious because of the pixelation..or is that just the resizing?). well i didn't crop it, it was the resizing and i lowered the quality for the web.
but i like the first pic because of the blur background.
just learning the camera, i was trained with a 35mm SLR, very different from a digi cam. with "manual" options
