WilliamsF1 have always had a simple philosophy when it comes to drivers : Concentrate on building a good car first, and the drivers will come to you. Like when Senna signed, rather ill-fatedly, in 1994, or when Mansell came back in 1992.

Frank and Patrick are racers. They have already lost one championship because they didnt enforce things like team orders, and will continue to do so. Williams WILL win championships again, whether Ralf or JPM do it, remains to be seen.

JPM signed for McLaren after last year's French GP, when we all knew that he absolutely blew it after thinking that the team were favouring Ralf on pit stop strategy. So in a red mist of emotive rage, he ups and signs for someone else. I have no doubt in my mind that he has champiosnhip winning potential. Think back to Interlagos in his debut season, and muscling past Schumi. Or last year's overtaking manuveure at the German GP.

McLaren a better bet in the long term? Even with their resources, they made a complete hash of that sorry MP/4-18A episode, and the MP/4-19 doesnt look to clever either.

Realising dreams of becoming a world champion are dictated by career choices. Would Jacques or Damon have won more championships if they had decided to stay rather than leave Williams? Look at Schumi at Ferrari. How long did he have to wait for his first title there? Jacques ruined his career by going to BAR. Damon left for Arrows.

I still think Williams will win this year. If nto the drivers title, then the constructors title.

Webber and Button for 2005. Dream team.
