Which brand of processors do you think is better and why?
Definitely AMD! They're cheaper and faster, what else can you expect?

for me AMD has the better price/performance ratio, but for top performance in absolute I still prefer Intel
I voted AMD as i use one but i am not sure on which one is the most effective, all i know is that AMD is cheaper for the same perf.
Yeah i have to agree with all of the above.....AMD doesn't have the same high clock speed but still manage to keep up with Intels and are also cheaper.

I prefer AMD but i actually have and Intel. :(
The same happens with video cards. A have and nvidia but i prefer ATI. :( I like the underdogs. :D |
AMD all the way! ive had my computer with an amd chip for two years and not a problem yet(knockon wood :) )
I used to have and AMD 1400Mhz, but it overheated and now I have a XP2000+. They are definately worth the price, as theyt are fast, rather stable chips for a reasonable amount of money. But I ws a bit dissapointed by the Athlon64 performance as it was said that it will kick Intels ass.
I just don't understand why AMD don't increase the FSB...it would boost the speed up dramatically. This aspect is what they need to improve on. |
AMD sucks! They just heat up and are shit!
LOL
Intel was better a while ago, but for the last 6 months or maybe more, the dominating computers use AMD. On desktops, yeah AMD is better... Intel is still leader by far on mobile technology. Now, Intel only is better on desktops on Multimedia area.
Surely you can find a Intel VS AMD article at www.tomshardware.com |
