Nice ride, congrats man, do you got some interior and engine pics :?

Vansquish 04-16-2004 04:52 PM

Well...fuck.

In the US we got this shitty Chevy-emblemed thing with front drive and an extremely flexible chassis, 4 speed automatic transmission...basically a competitor for the Taurus. Why the hell can't we get decent cars here? Oh....I forgot...hehehe...most (I said MOST, not ALL mind you) of the American public wouldn't be able to drive a powerful rear-drive car safely.

SPEEDKILLAR 04-16-2004 05:01 PM

^^^^^ha ha ha haha americans can't drive    j/k

I dont have any pics for the engine at the moment but ill post some later :D

SPEEDKILLAR 04-16-2004 05:13 PM

And how does it drive, reliability and so on.

mill_955 04-16-2004 06:58 PM

the car has 5.7L LS1 engine, 325 hp

its is available with 4speed auto transmission and a rear wheel drive

basically its really really fast, this car can beat bmw m3, nissan 350z, porsch carrera...etc

it doesnt have much stability for a sport sedan, but i like when the rear wheels starts to spin around at every corner and the smoke from the tires 8)

and the ride is very comfortable too

they say the car is not reliable :? but I didnt have any troubles so far

BADMIHAI 04-16-2004 10:27 PM

Nice car dude! I like it!

Tomerville 04-16-2004 10:30 PM

Wow, that is hot never the less...too bad the US is so shafted

muffinman2002 04-16-2004 10:48 PM

Yeah, thats a really nice car. Looks like it would be a pretty good sleeper, too bad it doesn't come in a manual. Kind of looks like the new GTO in a way.

Vansquish 04-16-2004 11:51 PM

it ought to look like the GTO/Monaro...the GTO/Monaro is basically a shortened version of that car!

altezza 04-17-2004 12:13 AM

Congratz, nice car mate! :D
It's good that they start selling it as the GTO in the states

Here are some pics of the "not so good" Lumina in NA (some of them are still being used as taxis and police cars in Vancouver):

The lumina's are so bad, I think they replaced most of them with impala now. I believe the GTO is Monaro based, not Commodore. But they're nice cars nonetheless... if GM can actually fix all the reliability problem.

I like the lumina SS/GTO/Commodore you have there. Is it built in Australia?

mill_955 04-17-2004 05:06 PM

ahmedgiyab: sorry. I looked every where but I didnt find anything :|
but we are thinking about ordering a G-tech soon

AlienDB7: yes they build it in australia
