the your´s longest trip...
Well..i would like to know what´s the longest trip u did while driving, in one day, or two, without stoping to sleep, just to refuel your car.
How many kilometers(or miles) was it and how many hours it lasted. And, if u wanna tell us, how it was..heheh :D Well mine longest trip was to a city here in São Paulo State, Brazil, called Caldas Novas. I live here in São Paulo city and going to there will take about 920-1000 km...if it´s not more, because i didn´t calculated it exactly. But it´s in this house, and i took it in just 9 hours and some minutes...just stoping to refuel, off course, it was on my dad´s car, and my parents were sleeping on the trip for some moments. It was cool, the roads i took were so nice so i could get 120-130 km/h of average speed(remember, my parents were on the car, and the limit is 120 km/h, so i couldn´t got that fast, or i would be throwed out of the car by my dad) and i just refueled once. It was a boring trip because i coud not got so fast so i was listening to music to relax. But anyway it was cool, and, in the end of the trip i wasn´t tired, i guess i could drive for more 5 hours or more. But my parent´s were, so...we stoped to sleep. :D |
The longest trip in the car ive done without stopping is from Seattle to Los Angeles. I wasnt the only one driving but I did drive for about 8-9 hours straight and the whole trip took about 19-20 hours of solid driving. We only stopped for gas and food.

i would like to make a 24 hour trip around São Paulo State...off course, when i get my drivers license to be allowed....here we have so many good roads that u can put in them 300-km/h or more...so when i get my car i´ll make one this way...driving 24 hours without stoping..hehe it must be cool, but so tiresome!!
off course, i´ll make some trips with less hours on the driving of the car to get used and don´t stay tired, before this long trip...but it would be nice..hehe :D |
Longest consecutive trip for me is Atlanta to Chicago. About 12-13 hours, 750 miles. I actually fell asleep at the wheel at one point and found myself in the other lane drifting. Luckily, no one was around me. I quickly got off the interstate and took a nap.

9 hours. From New York City to Syracuse, NY. Normally it takes about 4 hours but I took the wrong exit and ended up in mid-section of Pennsylvania. I drove through some freaky town that has thick fog, no light poles, no gas, and alone at 12am. 0X OK I'm a wuss.

my longest trip driving myself goes from the north of South Carolina to Brighton, Michigan with a trailer full of camping equipment, gear. I averaged about 11 miles per gallon, couldn't tell you how many stops, except it took about 12 hours. i dont recall how many miles, but id suppose it would be 600-700miles as there were a lot of stops on the way back. on the way there, we stopped to stay at a lot of separate places separated by no more the 150 miles.
beyond that, i regularly make 220 mile trips that take 3.5 hours to my mom's house, and 120 miles to my dad's house. |
about 1 week or 1 1/2 from Atlanta GA, to el Salvador ..... we stoped at new orleans, and a couple of places in mexico and san antonio
