Is Caddilac in Europe
IS IT?
I have seen a few, but really rare. I've never seen them at any dealership.
yes they sell in europe , but the quality standards of the past models cant match the Bmw , Audi and Mercedes , so i guess now they will have more dealerships
Yes, I believe so, I know that the STS/SLS was sold in Britain for a few years, but that they only sold in very small numbers.
I hear they are bringing the CTS-V to Europe and the U.K. Statistically it can whoop on an M3, but apparently it is hard to control on the track.
I already saw also a CTS the other day... and there are a few other models around, Escalade included.. but as said.. very very rare...
so the lesson is, if u want a very rare and cool car in europe, buy a CTS V! :-)
Rare, yes, but cool is debatable.
In the Netherlands there aren't many Cadillacs around, which isn't bad from my point of view. I drove an STS a couple of times for work, but I didn't like it all. When I wasn't inside the damn thing, things weren't much better. They look truly awful. However, Kroymans, best known for distributing Ferrari and Aston Martin in the Netherlands, wants to make Cadillacs a more common sight. It landed a deal with GM for distributing Cadillacs not only in the Netherlands, but in other western European countries as well. :( |
Indeed rare in the Netherlands. But whoever is concerned that Cadillac will increase their sales in Europe, I doubt they will. Besides the fact that their cars aren't as good than their competition, and they don't ahave the price advantage they have in the US. So I don't expect much...

ok so you european guys dont like the caddillacs...what about the new C6 corvette? or even the C5 and the Z06? u cant tell me that u wouldnt want one in your garage? or is the price of such models really so much more than in North america that they become as pricey as something like porsche turbo?
It's a difficult matter IMO.. I'm not one of those that simply don't want to hear about american cars, not at all, and I'd like a nice C6 (already got good reviews from european press) in my garage or even one of the previous models..
I'm trying to recall prices here for a Vette or maybe a Viper over the past years.. if I recall correctly, there were pretty close (all grey imports as far as I know).. and to compare with Porsches, they were more in the C4S range... So not really THAT expensive, but still, 9 drivers over 10 would buy a Porsche... for fuel economy for instance.. for the brand image too.. and also maybe because even if it could sound strange, american cars beeing more rare, it's also easier to fix a problem on a Porsche in a random garage than it is for an american car.. especially when you need spare parts... |
i think the vette would have better gas mileage.

Better than what?
