You should sit in section 21, I have sat there the last 3 years in a row, as it gives you a great view of the hairpin and one of the few passing places on the track as well. But more importantly it is the closest exit to the subway after the race, because if you don't get on the first subway, you will be waiting for hours as there will easily be over 120,000 spectators there that day or you can walk back to town which is only a nice 1 hour and a half walk, in good time but more than likely a three hour walk or more with all of the pedistrian traffic around. I never stay for the presentations because if you do, you will be stuck there for hours and hours afterwards, no one tells you this, but it is true.

and and for ticketprices look on the site, (here is somebad news, if you bought tickets last year you pay lastyears price b4 then end of january, for the next 3 years i think?) |
toronto, i do not get what you mean with the last years ticket prices??
|
well last year the prices of tickets were much lower, but do to the fact that they need more money for the next 5 years (everyone should know y) they have raised ticket prices, but if you bought tickets last year, you could have paid last years price (like 35+ bucks less, i don't remember 100% my dad sorts out this stuff) only if you bought your tickets b4 the end of january

I'm going, it will be my first time at Canada. I'll be in stand 24, from what I saw in pictures on the net it has some great views of the Hairpin. I bought the tickets in December so I took advantage of the lower rates... although as it turned out they really didnt seem to be that lmuch better when you consider the overall cost of the tickets (seemed to be about and extra $20-$30CDN per ticket)
As for Hotels, I don't know what people are doing but I made my Hotel reservations the day the race was announced (before the hotels knew it was on) so I got my room for non-grand prix prices... I was stoked about that. Now I just need to swing work to let me get the following weekend off for Indianapolis |
