Just Superchiped My E46 M3
I just had the superships software installed today to replace the shark. Wayne Miller did the flash for me. He was a real nice guy good person to deal with. He even brought out a battery charger so I can uninstall the shark software. After the install (~5-10mins), we chatted for a while and watched a few vids on his laptop. Hope to see you at the meet Wayne
Review To help determine the gains I brought my brother and a friend (3 butt dynoes > one) on the ride the the installers house. I ripped it on the way, 6-3 downshifts) there between patches of traffic and on the way home. The first thing I noticed is how the car sounded at idle. The car's idle just sounded smoother. The car also sounded a little louder (might be in my head but 2 out three butt dynoes agreed on this). Accelaration (sport mode on. Never drive with it off) As for the accelarationThe car definitely pulls harder with the superchip software compared to the shark. As I get on the on ramp (West Side Highway) in 1st, I gun it. Compare to the ride there the force of the acceleration at WOT was more pronouced. Even say another PY M3 as I got on. I opened it up on an empty staight. The power feels alot more linear. I only got to drive it for half an hour and the Cross Bronx Expressway is really sh*tty. More on accelaration as tomorrow. Throttle Response (all done with sports mode on) Definitely smother than stock. In comparison to the shark sowtware, the super chips is a bit more aggressive. Its my first review. Hope it was decent. |
