Jay Leno's 620 hp 1955 Buick RoadMaster

Very good article in this weeks Autoweek about Jay Leno's latest addition to his collection. A 1955 Buick Raodmaster w/ 620 hp GM crate motor, C4 vette rearend and C5 vette front end.
Leno's First Love: If You Had It To Do All Over Again, Wouldn’t You Drop A Crate Motor In It?

Also short article about a few of his other cars
Jay’s Addiction
The car’s we’d all buy if we could all buy cars

Wish Jay would put his collection online or offer tours of the warehouses.

Jay Leno is COOL 8) 8) 8) 8)

I like it how he's so open-minded and so friendly. He really is a nice guy (or so he seems). And his car collection is just.....WWOOOOOWW.......I can only think of the Sultan of Brunei to have a bigger collection that's actually driven.

yeah, that car was on the cover of the latest hot rod magazine, too. good article as well. also mentioned his motorcycle powered by a helicopter engine and his mclaren that comes with complementary titanium tool-set.

i'm surprised no one actually manufactures "new" frames for these old cars.. I've seen a few for the Deuces.. but they're mostly redneck engineering jobs, bigger tube means stronger and such..

I say make a fully hydroformed chassis ala C5 vette to swap under old musclecars, you could probably double the torsional rigidity, and it could even allow for the addition of an IRS, immagine a 68 camaro with modern ride and handleing.

Oh yeah.. and Jay Leno is the shit.. i never thought a deusenberg could be cool till i saw his.
