Went to go see an SLR today
 

Yeah well i went with my dad today to see the slr. Was verry cool. Some of the things that annoyed me though were the gills were made of plastic, and like clarkson says the interior is plastic. Would be so much nicer if the plastic was replaced w/ carbon fiber. If any1 lives on long island and has heard of Rally Motors get ur ass over there and go see it. If you remember a SLR being auctioned off for like 2mil by christies, this is where the car went.

Other than those 2 bad things the car was gorgeous

Where do you live? I used to live in glen cove, and my dad got his 530i from Rallye. no shit, they really have an slr? i'll be home in a month and i'll try and check it out, and snap some pics :wink: . Hope it doesn't sell though, judging by the neighborhood it'll go. Know the ferrari of long island up in glen cove? we had an f50 there and it sold over the summer. know silver star porsche in roslyn? they had one of the first year GT2s. sold before it was built. it shipped and the dealer decided he'd like to keep it for himself and offered the guys money back. they went to court and fought over it. bullshit outcome too. the dealer was allowed to keep it for something like 18 months and could put no more than 1500 miles on it, then it belonged to the guy. i wouldnt be happy if i were him :x

I actually found out that the slr that is there is the one that jay leno tested, its a prototype. Sorry my dad suprised me from school and took me there to see it so no pics, dont hav a digital camera anyway.
