Shit, really yours? You are the one that walked away unharmed from the wreckage?

pimrusis 02-22-2004 08:23 PM

Well unharmed as in I'm still alive. I cut my arm alittle, my neck hurt alittle, and the roof cut my head open alittle. And the airbag left a bruise. Those pictures were inverted, the dent in the roof was actually on the drivers side.

DMbaseball1604 02-22-2004 08:33 PM

WOW thats pretty amazing that you came out pretty much unharmed...

RC45 02-22-2004 09:08 PM

Wow - didn't know you drove a Conti....

pimrusis 02-22-2004 09:10 PM

Yep, my family has a thing for lincolns.

oscargarza88 02-22-2004 10:31 PM

how did that happen?

Zonda11 02-22-2004 11:44 PM

Good thing you walked away

Zonda11 02-22-2004 11:46 PM

"Martirosian" what kind of background do you have to have that name??

Armenian?

pimrusis 02-23-2004 12:16 AM

Yep, Armenian.

It had just driven into the beginnings of a raincloud, and I hit a slick spot and my back end got away from me. It skidded out, and I ran into a rock/dirt enbankment that the road was cut through. I was doing like 60 mph or so, so I went a decent way up the enbankment, but then my car kinda corkscrewed and rolled back down the hill. I hit a big rock I think, which is what crushed the roof around me. And the car landed on the freeway.
The car was hit so hard when it landed that the battery ended up pretty far into the opposite lane of traffic and I nearly ripped the front half of the car off.

What makes me even more lucky:
1. 50 feet before I lose control there was no embankment, so I would have careened into the woods, and possibly a creek at 60mph.

2. The roof seriously missed splitting my head open by about a half an inch. The only reason why I am alive is because I sit in my car very far back from the wheel, with the seat half reclined.

Major crash. I'm very happy you are alive pimrusis!

Do you driving a Lincoln LS now ?

enigmatic 02-23-2004 02:22 AM

 thats pretty nasty, pimrusis! glad to see you got out ok.
so what happened after it all came to a stop?
did you end up upside down or on the wheels?
[might sound stupid, but] could you get out yourself, or did you have to wait for help?

pimrusis 02-23-2004 10:49 AM

The car landed on its wheels in the street. And I got out, but blood was gushing down my face so I sat down on the pavement.

Glad to hear that you are fine!

stradale 02-24-2004 03:14 PM

Whoa, that's quite an accident! I'm glad you're fine.
