Doesnt look very quick, and with those tiny wheels will not be very quick.

Makes a lot of noise though.

^^^Yea maybe a Mini,Focus,STI hactcback but not a Smart car,please.

short wheelbase, high horse power = recipe for disaster

I don't think this would be good in any other way than a straight line, and that would be pushing it, with all the money they spent on that thing they could have bought a proper used Aston or a GTR and lots of fun (and poontang) would be had

I like better the Smart 4 Two with the Hawabusa engine:
Now that's fun!

turpija 04-18-2009 03:04 PM

they are still tweaking the car and it's not runing at 600hp yet. the main sponsor was beeing conservative with all economy turbulences so he put a stop on the project and they will resume the development later this year, so you can expect it to run full potential next year on Austrian/European Hillclimb championship. They say that when everything is done 100% it should beat Georege Plasa's BMW8-)

if you have any other questions ask and I'll try to find the answer, the driver of that smart is hero overhere :-)

pitfield 04-18-2009 03:31 PM

yep it's a ForFour, so a Mitsubishi underneath

Not that small, much bigger than the ForTwo

pagani 04-18-2009 03:58 PM

What engine is under the bonnet of the smart?

turpija 04-18-2009 04:39 PM

http://mages.streetfire.net/photos/6..._1139763_0.jpgit's a 2.0 turbo, I'm not sure what exactly engine is but here is photo:
http://px6.streetfire.net/0001/79/36/1139763.jpg

the estimated performances are; top speed around 250kmh(155mph) and they say it can get from 100kmh to 200kmh in 4 seconds

Is it awd or rwd?

10000rpmlover 04-18-2009 05:28 PM

looks like a 4g63T, commonly foun in the Talon, laser, eclipse and mirage from 1991-1999

note that the EVO also has a version of the 4g63T, however that engine has a much more developed intake and different cams amongst other things like injector location etc

So it's a mitsubishi 4g63 engine
