Goodwood: Festival Of Speed 2008 Rally Stage

OK, so I'm stretching the "what I saw today" a bit far, but I only put the video on the internet fairly recently; a compilation of footage taken from various locations around the Goodwood festival of speed rally stage, turn up your volume and enjoy!

(Look/listen out for the Skoda Octavia, I was there with the G/F and every time that car came round she virtually shat herself!)

Really cool video man!
I love "rally legend" cars and the sound is great!

 What a great event. It had to be fun to see such legendary cars gunning it on a rally course like that. It's interesting to see the speed variance throughout the various years of cars, granted some of that is due more careful driving.

There was an S1 Evo Audi there last year which completely tore up the stage (literally - the driver was taking out parts of the banks and course every time I saw him go round!), unfortunately I didn't see it there this year. Some of the Group B stuff (like the RS200) were also being driven a lot slower this year. Still great to see (and hear) them going though!

Yeah, very true, though some of the older cars were actually involved in the worst "knocks" of the weekend. You can't really see it in the video, but the little Fiat was driving round with no front or rear screens! Its funny, the rally stage has only been an "add on" to the festival the last couple of years, but its easily the highlight of the weekend for me now.
