Too Much Free Time: Man builds 1:6 scale 327 V8
Yes, a man has built a 1:6 scale replica of the Corvette's 327 ci small block V8 (I guess you'd call it a 1.51 ci V8). Just read the Jalopnik article for more details.

Doesn't sound very V8, unlike the guy who built the tiny Ferrari flat 12, that did sound right.

the 327 sounds like a chainsaw.

100 cc's . . . that's not to the same scale as the rest of the car. It has more displacement than my little Honda ATC had. That explains how kept the sound more authentic. I don't think he mispoke either . . . that'd be an apporoximate base area of 4cm squared for the pistons with a 2 cm stroke, which is believable given the video. I don't have any details on the 327's actual displacement, other than I just assumed that it, like the rest of the engine, was at 1:6 scale (so naturually volume changes by a factor of 6 cubed.)
