Random news: Will Ford EU really build a production Iosis?

There's a rumor flying around like flies about Ford building a Passat CC rival, which sounds just deeply confusing to me.

There's also a rumor that it'll ditch the very very successful Kinetic design altogether for something that looks like the Nissan GT-R's. (it's still speculative though) :?:

Why? Who'd buy one? Why? Would you buy one?

the first picture just really reminds me of a C-class or S. the headlights and the wheelarches just scream that.

on the second set it looks like a luxury 4 door coupe... ? i mean if i wanted that i know i would never buy a Ford...

I'd buy a Ford Falcon before any of those funny-looking machines. I've never understood the point of sedans morphing into coupes. Just make a five-door hatchback.

The Iosis was just a platform development machine. The new Taurus and a few other cars a based on it. Just lacking a good portion of the fancy gadgetry.

Almost every manufacturer wants a coupe-saloon hybrid. At the rate we're going Kia will have a coupe-saloon by next tuesday
