How are they possibly going to make this work?

Justin Chatwin as Goku (That annoying son from War of the Worlds)
James Marsters as Lord Piccolo (Brainiac from Smallville?)
Jamie Chung as Chi-Chi (who?)
Emmy Rossum as Bulma (The person who made The Day after Tomorrow almost bearable then she gets knocked out)
Chow Yun-Fat as Master Roshi (Has nothing better to do than appear in crappy Hollywood movies these days)

At first i thought the title was "The dragon ball z movie is FAIL!" It would be more appropriate.

I don't want to sound like I'm defending this piece of junk. But to be fair, the Last Samurai had a white person as the main character from the start anyway, if you watched it at all.

And technically, since the main character of Dragon Ball Z is an alien, he doesn't have to look Asian at all.;-)

Where's Vegeta anyway?

I'm not sure you got the point of the movie. Tom Cruise was not the last samurai referred to in the title. The last samurai was the other main character, based on the real-life samurai leader, Saigo Takamori.

I have never been a fan of Dragon Ball Z. Nevertheless, live-action remakes of cartoons usually fail. The animation/live-action film divide is just one which is difficult to cross.

Makes me remember the Initial D feature movie... what a fail :(

Ha I have known about this for a while and while I am a huge fan of DBZ I think this is going to be hysterical, as to why there is no Vegeta its because its not called Dragon Ball Z but rather Dragon Ball, and Vegeta wasn't in Dragon Ball.

silentm 07-22-2008 09:36 PM

Bah the hair is completely unrealistic :P :D

HeilSvenska 07-22-2008 09:50 PM

This will make Speed Racer look like a racing documentary.

*Bahahahahahah!

Poor Emma Rossum. All her talent wasted on crappiest movies...
