BMI - Amuse r35 gtr
from the vid we can say that tuners are definitely finding a way around the new GTR's restrictions... and it might be safe to say that nissan hasn't under-rated the 480 ps power figure given the dyno comparison of stock vs tuned in the vid, but if anyone can understand or read japanese and sees otherwise plz correct me so hurry up and watch b4 it gets removed :-) |
thanks

From the in-car footage, that thing looks f-ing FAST around Tskuba! Not crazy about the looks, but you can't argue with the performance.
|
I think it's a good decision that they upped the displacement from 2.6 to 3.8

:-)niceee!!!

Amuse GTR is stunning! 59s is a hell of a time at Tsukuba. Now only if the car was lighter! (*crossing fingers for the V-Spec*)
As for the stock GTR - power figures're underrated from the factory for sure. It's around 40hp more at the crank compared to officially declared. Make no mistake here. And FYI this isn't the first time Nissan pulls this trick. R34 GTR was claimed to have output of maximum JDM allowed 280hp while it's real output was proven to be 327hp at the crank. Same story with R33 GTR, it was underrated by a good 20 hp. Looks like that "underrated from the factory" thing becomes a part of GTR heritage. add: Brief translation from one of the YouTube comments: Quote:

So you can tune the new gtr.
I wonder how fast the new gtr's will be in a couple of years |
Amazing... a 59' lap at Tsukuba with so little tuning and so much weight! I just watched the Rev Speed Tsukuba Super Lap Special and those street tuned R34s and R33s with 600+ Bhp were having difficulties just doing 1 min flat. I'd love to see what this Beast from the East can do with some more tuning to the differentials and suspension...
Engine seems very nice, turning up the boost 'a bit' :) A worthy replacement for the RB26 then! |
What are some comparison times for cars around Tsukuba? I'm not familiar with it. :-)
Thanks for the vid, definately seems quick! |
I believe in a 5 lap race from a recent episode, the new e92 M3 was doing around 1:06 and the IS-F was around 1:07. Granted, those are in-race times and the time attack may have been a little faster, but not much. So you can see that a 59 sec lap is pretty much flying!

incredibile!!!

Toffytofik, thanks for the links! No doubt the GT-R is insanely quick.
Thanks for the vids, also Sapetoku. :-) This doesn't make sense to me though: According to http://www.fastestlaps.com/track3.html #1. Lamborghini Superleggera 530hp / 1520kg #2. Nissan GT-R 479hp / 1720kg How is the GT-R that good, that it runs the same lap time, being underpowered, but 200kg heavier than the Lambo? I really, really respect the GT-R is insanely quick! ......But I just can't digest (or accept) that it can outrun both the F40 or Mclaren F1. And how the hell does the old m3 (#22) faster than the New E92 m3 (#29)?? Unlikely. How reliable are these tests? :?: |
^ cud be many reasons; different level of driver skill, tyres, driver consistency, track conditions, all those computers in the gtr, rumors that the gtr's power figure is underrated etc...honestly u could go crazy analyzing lap times :tard:
