I think my bike just gave up the ghost.
 

I went to fire up the old girl and was greeted to this lovely sound coming from the motor area:

That sound was accompanied with a lot of missing, chugging, and then the bike eventually dying.

After which a rich potpourri of fuel, exhaust fumes, and burning metal could be smelled.
