Bonestock 08 Viper vs 07 Z06[487rwhp]
 

Z06 has a Hurst Shifter, the mild to wild exhaust switch, LG Headers and Tune, and dyno'd around 487 whp and a 230lb passenger filming. Viper bonestock 08 no passenger.


First street race Ive seen between em, though one was modded. Would like to see a few more without the passenger in the Z06 from different speeds. Gotta love the hp race between these two killers.

nice..... honestly, I didn't expect the vette to be right there with the Viper just slightly pulling away.

then again, I've never been terribly impressed with LG's street products...

Everybody wants to pick sides. I have non. If the car is fast I like it. Dont care about name brand. Looks like Im going to have to stay away from the Vette vs Viper discussions since Im a now a Viper nazi:laugh: When I posted vids of Z06's beating Vipers when they first came out on another forum I was labeled a Vette fanboy lol.

As for the video, car guys will dig it. Fanboys will start picking sides. From my perspective this gives you an idea of how fast the ZR1 will be. If this Z06, though modded, can stay relatively close its going to be lights out when the ZR1 drops since it should be a fair bit faster then the 08 Viper in the straights.

BTW my signature is of a Mclaren F1 LM. If there is any car Id admit to being a fanboy of its that. Why the hell it wont show up now. Used to back in the day.

Such "encounters" are pretty pointless and just start agruments anyway - cause unless teh C6 Z is over 500 to the wheels it is going to get stomped on, even by a stock 08 Viper.

Let's see here - a 505bhp V8 vs 600bhp V10... even stock for stock, who does one think should "walk away" with it? That is a 100hp difference off the bat.

And already, the chances of coming across a "bone stock" 2008 Viper on the streets is rare - many already have headers and exhast work down and are putting down close to 600rwhp.

The cars getting head work done are putting down close to 620rwhp and almost 600ftlb of torque.

There is a place down under, and they are busy with at least 2 C6 Z06's at this time - the one guy often posts on one of the Corvette forums.

Anyway I know about the headers and exhaust mods a available for the 08's but this is the first Ive heard about head work getting done already.
