The R8 is so underpowered and so overweight, that is about the only way you could get it to do a doughnut... on a wet icy road ;)

The R8 struggles to get out of its own way - I heard a Boxster S would drill the R8 so bad, the driver would have to pullo ver to powder their nose and adjust their bra.. ;)

Has the 4wheel drive been removed?

yay R8! It almost looked like a rwd car in those videos. I wonder if it ever gives the front wheels enough of the torque to do sit and spins like people do in STI's.

I do like the look of the R8 but would prefer a 350Z over one every time. Looked like fun though whatever you say :)

no, its the way the viscious center diff applies torque to the freer spinning wheels as also used on the Gallardo.... and likely on the RS4
