The Veyron is impressive, even if I knew it would win

Very cool vid, thanks m8, blue8. :)

Yeah, it must have been very sad for the M3 driver, having such a huge lead and in the blink of an eye being smashed like that

the difference between a really really fast car , and the Veyron!!!!!!

dutchmasterflex 09-25-2007 07:36 PM

Should have used M-dynamic mode traction control... although it wouldn't have made any difference on the outcome!

^^It sounded like the M3 was using launch control to me. BTW, it looks like the Veyron not only let off before the finish line, but also put the breaks on; kind of like what Ben Johnson did when he beat Carl Lewis in Korea (but then got disqualified...)

dutchmasterflex 09-25-2007 10:35 PM

Looked like it made a pretty long tire mark to me.

Man... Giving a pretty fast car a headstart, flooring it, and then braking before the finish line really tells you how fast the Veyron really is. Or the driver was confident.

The only traction control launch I have seen that doesn't include tire slip is that of the 599GTB.

this is called understatement, give the bimmer some room, then floor it and brake again
