Ecclestone to sell car collection
 

Bernie Ecclestone, the czar of Formula One, has consigned 50 cars from his collection, including a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing and a 1937 Mercedes-Benx 540K – to RM Auctions, to be sold this coming October.

Ecclestone’s collection has never been publicly exhibited.

RM expects the auction to bring in more than $30 million. That’s a drop in the bucket for Ecclestone, who is reputed to be worth more than $5 billion.

Considering what he’s selling, you kinda wonder what he’s keeping.

Anyone have any idea whats in this collection other then the formentioned?

I remember that he already sold some cars a few years ago. It included a Ferrari 330 P4 ... and bring him around the same amount.

He obviously needs finances to offset the losses incurred from F1! :lol: j/k
