^ IMO no conclusion is given :hmm:
they only show what kind of simulation they did, and IMO the time (burning) factor is missing ---- somehow they should prove that with this impact, the time the building was burning, then the collapse was possible... ( to proove that no other explosive was used).

Yep, makes me wonder what was the general purpose of the simulation in the end? It looks good, but that's about it. Maybe it provides data for those who know better, but those people have not spoken yet.

I'm guessing the general purpose in the end is to show what went on inside the building during impact, thats about it. Nothing very scientific. As good as some computer simulations are and this one is - they can be off by quite a bit in reality. The rendering time would have been immense.

Well.. given itd be a waste of time to give conspiracy theoriest credence since theyll still ignore facts.. I think the point was just to model structural design to design for better fault resistant buildings. Not prove some nut jobs wrong.

As for other explosions.. There were also diesel generators in the building.. They blew up when the fire reached them too Im sure.

Go Purdue. woohoo

Very interesting. Thanks for the post.

The simulation did not include the core column fireproofing.

The core columns were fireproofed to 4 hours, however failure occured after 1 hour for the second building 1 1/2 hours for the first building. It has generally been assumed the early failure was due to the fireproofing being stripped from the core columns by the impacting aircraft.

That and of course time. The stuff does get old.
