Don't over-tighten your lug nuts...

I once had a wheel come off on the highway doing 75.. rusted studs in the wheels. Fun ride.. not.

ouch. Street Modified class too. that's some stiff competition. He probably tightened it with his tire iron or breaker bar.

any idea where this was? plate almost looks like Florida but i can't tell for sure.

it almost seems like he didn't tighten them enough..... it looks like the axel bolts are still there.

Whatever happened to cause that, FUCK that sucks! Its pretty sucky that he some how managed to time it so all four wheels came off nearly simultaneously. :shock:

Wow it was almost comical. Not for the owner of course. I thought that the axel bolts looked sheared off the left rear...but the video quality isn't good enough to be certain.

Yeah it looked to me that they didn't tighten them enough.. which is why ALL 4 came off at the same time because the dude putting the wheels back on had noodle arms.

Tightening your lug nuts wont cause your wheels to fall off. It will can cause other issues.
In this case though theres something else going along.. even an idiot wouldnt have all 4 come off at once. Some speculation leads me to believe they did not use the correct lug nuts.. Perhaps ones with the wrong pitch.

It looks like a combination of a number of things. Whatever it is something is wrong. If you look at the rear wheel it looks like the bolts got completely sheared off.

Warped rotors are one possibility, wheel damage another. There are a few others I forget.
