Safari nature at its best.
 

This is a pretty cool video. A small family of Buffalo gets attacked by some Lions. Unfortunately, the young Buffalo gets taken down, typical in an attack like this. The Lions swarm the young Buffalo near the water for their take. Being near the water some Crocs try to get dibs on the young Buffalo. The Crocs fail and the Lions pull the young Buffalo further inland. Just when you think the young Buffalo is done for, the adult Buffalo that got away went back for the entire heard, and I mean the entire heard. They surround the Lions and their young and commence ass-whippery. The young Buffalo, still clinging to life, struggles to get free and eventually does to the comfort of the heard. From here more ass-whippery by the Buffalo ensues. The young Buffalo probably didn't make it due to its injuries, but at least it didn't get eaten.

Usually the Lions seperate the weak/young from the stronger pack and finish the job. Haven't seen an example like this where the Buffalo comes back for the attack.

Cool stuff.. I'd love to go exploring the Safari in a super charged Land Rover Defender :twisted: or take one of those sweet balloon rides..

man the sound the calf was making was heartbreaking...but 4 it to be rescued like that was awesome, there must have been at least 50 buffalos against those lions...thanks for the vid man.
