^^ Very cool and good looking bike!

Gsx-R has always been my favorite bike if it comes to looks and performance.

Thanks for the custom pic. How much was it?

^^ Good advice Thamar, you should and would know!

Ive seen accidents on tv where they didn't where protective clothing and it wasn't pretty I can say that to you. The flesh was scraped away, even some bone... :o

GMR? That road is a mess. I do know many that like it though. Now stop calling it a Power Ranger suit! :D

Definitely invest in a good suit. That should be a must when running the canyons, and you have no choice if going to the track. For commuting and cruising around: Motorcycle boots, a good leather jacket, full gloves, jeans and of course the helmet at all times.

i don't know if they call it GMR? i know to get there is a pain in the ass. but i rather go over there than the crest. just for the fact of traffic.
i call it Power Ranger suit because it sounds funny.
thanks Thamar for your advise, but i never ride without a jacket.

hehe, hope that isnt your first bike or you really are likely to be an organ donor!!

I would say:

1. Take the MSF course if you havnt already
2. If that liter bike is your first ride, buy yourself a little Ninja 250 and ride that for awhile before you step up to the Gixxer
3. Always wear your gear, especially on a bike that fast. You can find yourself doing 100 mph in no time.

I usually dont even recommend newbies start on a 600. Go to every motorcycle forum out there and you will find them loaded with idiot noobs buyign 600cc sportbikes as a first bike and then laying them down with less then 1,000 miles on the clock. Its just stupid imo.

If that isn't your first bike why don't you have kit already?

I started on a VFR800 VTEC which I bought becase to drive 60 miles through winter at 5am I needed something fairly big. It's performance is no-where near that of your bike but working at Porsche all the time, the only car that would draw level with it from a standing start was the 996 Turbo S.

I haven't got a bike at the moment but am thinking about a GSX-R750. A 600 would be enough but I like the 750 is the classic GSX-R Capacity.

Enjoy the bike but take care. Love the colourscheme, I might get mine wrapped in the eighties blue/white colours and get the wheels painted white.

Nice bike! Have loads of fun with her, and be careful!

I've been thinking about getting my motorcycle license for a bit now...I heard it's cheaper to get before you turn 21...is that true?
