Don`t worry MrMojo that was only a record braking machine.
AFAIK the SNCF already set the limits to 320km/h for regular TGV`s.

But I`am waiting for the smart asses from Jabbas to come and tell us now how much does the french suck at enginnering, and how the TGV brake down twice a week. :alienflip:

Pfffff frenchies

Nice publicity stunt. :P

dutchmasterflex 04-04-2007 09:16 AM

Thing is, they have to rebuild all the train tracks to go as straight as possible.. just like they did to achieve this new speed record.

And I thought the train I was on going at 250km/h was fast

This train was sponsored by the French government - the development of such vehicles is to allow French government officials to flee in the face of their enemies at high speed. Soon the Frenchies will be able to surrender at 400mph :P ;)

Of course, but in the process they`ll give a lift to the fearless brits fighting......erm, retreating alongside the french.
What do you know, WW2 lessons.

Vive La France ! :P

Yeah man, pisses me off that all we have here is the Government run Amtrak.. which sucks balls.

Mattk 04-04-2007 10:54 AM

^They can't be worse than CityRail, the railway provider in my state. Our trains services are almost as bad as third-world countries.

Stoopie 04-04-2007 10:56 AM

I heard this project cost the French government about 32 million euros, now talking about a waste of money

silentm 04-04-2007 12:32 PM

^ it probably is a well calculated publicity stunt, but wait, governments aren't really known to be able to handle money well, right? :P

Pokiou 04-04-2007 09:41 PM

you can go as fast as you wont ... a nuke is still gonna get ya ! lol
