Thanks very much!

I probably won't have to tell you I love that car  :P

no idea what it says
but sure it is cool as usual

sameerrao 02-25-2007 09:34 PM

I thought it would be faster than the old car. :?

Thanks mate :D indeed it's surprising to see it is slower than the 996 GT3 RS but different day means different conditions ... I think it would be faster on a side by side test.

Also, at that level of performance it is very difficult to improve the times a lot.

Thanks, I love all the supertests, even if I dont understand the language. I just look the numbers and try to understand what happened. (well my two majors are mathematics and physics)

excllent article, a really good read. it sounded like the person testing it knew really a lot about what he was doing :)

they repeatedly write that the laptime over the NS isn't very surprising since on such a long track the drivers daily form and other factors like temp ect are a bigger factor than on the shorter track. also you can see that it gained half a second on the GT3 on the Hockenheim ring. there the writer says that the higher downforce shows better results in the laptime.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. Think of all the times that Koenigsegg CCX did the NS... fist 7:39, then 7:34 when it was cold out... and SA suggesting the car would be able to do 7:28- 7:29 in optimum track conditions.

Thanks! Sport Auto supertests are always appreciated esp, cause they are German

Isn't it also the fact that you can load the 997 GT3RS with stuff you couldn't get in the 996?

Or is that the normal 997 GT3?

dutchmasterflex 02-28-2007 03:17 PM

Thanks, but which one of you lovely German's are going to translate the article for us? :)

I think it¡s just the GT3 that you can load with BOSE sound system and navi - the RS comes with the rollcage... and anything else

Mm ok I see, I wasn't sure..

Well is the 997 GT3RS faster on paper then the 996? :bah:
