Spy photos: 2009 Chevrolet Corvette SS engine revealed

Compared to the 7.0-liter LS7 V8 used in the current Z06, this engine's most obvious upgrade is the giant intercooler sitting on top. Built by Behr, a German company that has supplied intercoolers to the likes of Ferrari and Jaguar over the years, this intercooler looks as though it's mounted on top of the supercharger. Not the easiest way to arrange things, but with so little room under the hood the engineers at GM had few options. Even with the compact arrangement, the hood on this prototype is still cut out to make room for all the extra hardware.
Other changes include the relocation of the alternator to the passenger side and moving the power steering pump up higher. The main air intake is still front and center, although now it must arch over the radiator before making the plunge back down to the concealed blower mounted in the galley between the cylinders.

Looks like Edmunds don't care about any "Cease and Desist" order. Or that they simply haven't got one yet.

Please get your facts straight - I never stated GM or anyone did anything - I simply added to the commentary and stated that [i]if anyone was under the terms of a confidentiality agreement they would get into civil (and possible criminal) trouble. You really need to stick the the facts when reporting on events.

In all probability the shipper took the action they did on advisement of their legal council to avoid any possible future civil or criminal claims by GM.

Sure.. should I include a GM forwarding address in the link? ;) :P

tis not illegal to share them. I did not sign a contract with GM to keep the new Corvette secret

hehe - the issue is you have to prove they have no claim with their cease and desist, and that is the part that can get very sticky and expensive ;) -- even if youwin its you that ahs to take on GM not the other way round :)

I believe by they you ment GM. Nuff said
