Parents out there, never let kids have fast cars

Kids in fast cars always speed. Always. If they put rims on there, or exhaust, they really will. Even if you hate foreign cars, just buy the kiddies a 1994 Honda Civic with a I-4 and an automatic box.

that might be a very true statement, cant imagine any1 trying to make a V4, its all 4inlines, but primrusis is right i think, evry1 who likes cars will speed when they just got their 1st car. Good thing my parents r poor, so ill have to buy my own (FAST) car. im saving for it already, and i got 2 years to go till im aloowed to drive.
im going for a used(obviously) porsche 928 or 944(in case i dont have the money for a 928)
BTW sum1 from my neighbourhood almost killed himself 2nd day he had his 1st car(some BMW), hes still in the hospital, bet his moms buying him a civic auto now :P

I agree with that I was and still am a hot head behind the wheel but I never cut people off or anything like that and I've never gotten a ticket, did get pulled over once cause I was going to be late getting back from lunch my senior year and the cop let us go.

NO one uses V-4's ?????? --- Supercars have V-8's, v-10's, v-12's, and v-16's

A Honda Accord has a V6 and makes what 220-240hp.

A Honda Civic ranges from about 110-160 hp depending on the model and the country your in. DO YOU THINK THEY USE A V6 TO MAKE 110 horses?

NO, they use a V4!

Are you stoned out of your mind! They don't make V-4s!!!!!!!!!!! they make inline 4s not V-4s is that sooo hard to get through to you.

dylan99 01-10-2004 11:00 PM

I've neever heard of a V4 to my knowledge it doesn't even exist they do have 4 cilinders engines

zevolv 01-10-2004 11:02 PM

yes they are inline 4s and H-4s (boxer/opposed)

Zonda11 01-10-2004 11:11 PM

OK, explain an inline 4 to me then because I don't know that much about it.

Zonda11 01-10-2004 11:16 PM

I guess what I meant was 4 cylinders. So whats the difference between a V and Inline?

zevolv 01-10-2004 11:16 PM

an inline 4 is used instead of a V-4 to eleminate the mechanical loss of a V configuration although the inline configuration is longer it has less mechanical loss between the cylinder and the crank. inline 4s are used in any car that has a 4 cylinder except porsches and subarus (boxers). an inline engine has the cylinders in line its that simple instead of in a V setup. inline 4 (0000) V looks like a v from the front view and two rows from the top
Do you get it now?

Zonda11 01-10-2004 11:22 PM

Ya Thanks- Where did you learn about engines?

BADMIHAI 01-10-2004 11:24 PM

The Civic has an INLINE 4 cylinder engine. And, yes, V4 engines exist. It's just that they're used in racing motorcycles. I've never seen or heard of a V4 in a car.
