Here are the corresponding chinese animals and their years: Pig - 1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007 Rat - +1 to each year above (so 1924, 1936, etc.) Ox +2 - 1925... Tiger +3 - 1926... Rabbit +4 - 1927... Dragon +5 - 1928... Snake +6 - 1929... Horse + 7 - 1930... Sheep + 8 - 1931... Monkey + 9 - 1932... Rooster + 10 - 1933... Dog + 11 - 1934... Another way to count is to start from your birthyear (i.e. 1981, mine), and count back 12 years repeatedly until you get one that matches the numbers I posted above. 1981 - (12x4=48) = 1933 - year of the rooster |
I was born in the year of the dragon. 8)

The meanings behind the animals:
Pig - these people are fascinated with the arts. Though unlike others with the same inclination, they are the type who'd rather opt to work behind the scenes. Rat - typically aggressive and intelligent. With their dynamism, quick thinking, and love for fast-paced work environments, it's as if the brokerage business were created just for them. Ox - noted for their incredible tenacity. It doesn't matter if they get bruised and wounded trying to aim for a spot as long as they get there. Tiger - natural born rebels. They are powerful, idealistic, and innately disobedient. Rabbit - multitaskers. They are overachievers, juggling a handful and still end up with spotless work. Typically ambitious, intelligent, talented, and artistic. Dragon - capable of tremendous achievements - if they know how to tap their inner strengths. Snake - primetime communicators. Cleverly perceptive, and the best ones can slither their way out of a deep bind. Horse - people that crave for freedom. Extremely independent, thrill-seekers, and highly determined to get the job done. Sheep - passionate about aesthetics, people of the lamb are deeply enamored with all things pretty and beautiful, possessing a highly developed eye and a definitive taste for fashion. Monkey - primates of the zodiac pick up what's happening faster than most people can recognize it. Even during a conversation, a person born in these years usually make mental notes and store them away for future reference. Monkeys can master complex subjects without breaking a sweat. Rooster - it takes more than a strong will and an iron fist to run a company. Like a game of chess, it takes a lot of logical polotting, resiliency, and guts to steer any business to a sensible, winning direction. Roosters, the thinkers and doers of the zodiac, possess all these traits. Dog - Selfless, intelligent, and sensitive, Dogs take friendship to a higher level. They're loyal, honest, and caring the way other power-hungy politicians aren't. Lean on them, they won't be a disgrace. |
I am a pig :D
|
^^you sure are...
I was born in the year of the rabbit, which means im an overachieving multitasking spotless-work delivering intelligent, ambitious, talented and creative person. The only thing that's wrong about that is the creative part :D and im not sure about the multitasking either... But i compared the description for 1 of my best friends (tiger), and it's about as far off as it can be :P [edit] and i think dog would fit me better... |
^^ the rabbit suits you more than the dog.
