Mount Pinatubo Volcano

Last Friday I went up Mount Pinatubo (110KM away from my house in a straight line) located between two former US military bases namely Clark Airbase and Subic Bay Naval base.

Some may remember that in 1991 it produced one of the largest and most violent explosions in the last century and caused global temperatures to drop by a degree. Those using Google Earth/Maps can view the volcano at 15°7.8′N 120°21.0′E

I'm planning to go up again after summer/rainy season and spend the night at the crater lake. The place is fucking amazing and I'd recommend anyone to get off their lardy ass and go for the 2 1/2 hr trek up to the crater.

Man, If I weren't on the other side of the world I'd hike up there in a second.

There's so much I still havent seen in the Philippines.. I'm hoping to make a trip out there after I graduate to do a whole North to South trip of the island.
