It's official! Porsches are overpriced.

not too surprising. Did people really think that extra money was buying them "far superior" build materials? Porsche is similar to Hollister (or whatever trendy shirt designer) as you don't just pay for the product but the brand name as well.
Hollister... Lol.
what no ferrari?
Volkswagen makes only €322 per car? That's just silly :|

Well, I don't think they sell the cars too expensive, I think they manage to do them very cheap! :D
^^^ copmared to F-carfs etc. your right
but overall there is a point when even materials and quality can only increase the price so muc. |
Forgot to mention check out a Porsche order guide sometime and you will see why my car is near base model "S" rather than optioned. I wouldn't pay the amount for some of that stuff as much as I like it...like some Carbon Fiber eye candy ;)
Well holy cow...who knew?! How long has Porsche been making money? "Far and away the world's most profitable car manufacturer" is making lots of money on every car they sell, what a shock! If people are willing to pay that much for the cars then are they really that overpriced?
How much do GM, Ford, and Chrysler make on each large SUV and pick-up truck they sell? I've heard anywhere from $5,000-$15,000 in straight profit off of a $25,000-$45,000 vehicle, but people are willing to pay it, is that overpriced too? |
Yeah this sounds a bit like old news. Porsche isn't the only one BTW
Remember in the early 90s Porsche was about to go bankrupt. It wasn't until the 996 & Boxster that pushed back into profitability.
And thats "per car" average - not "per car markup" ;)
I mean does the 911Turbo really "need" to cost almost double the C2? |
