Scheduled for spring 2007

While DaimlerChrysler has already launched a restyled Mercedes E Class, BMW ‘s facelifted 5-Series and M5 are scheduled for released in spring 2007.

Here are the first photos showing undisguised prototypes of the facelifted 5-Series during a test drive in Munich. The first photo is showing the remodeled M5 with different air intakes in the front skirt, different headlights and upgraded dashboard and interior design. The standard 5-series is also getting new air intakes in the front skirt, a smoother rear skirt and a new automatic shift lever.

The photos are showing one M5 and various prototypes of the restyled standard 5-Series. The two shots of the interior and dashboard are from our files.

SPY PHOTOS: BMW M5 and 5-Series Facelift

--although i suppose these are not final yet, i'm quite disappointed at that M5 pic (if that's it) because it lacks any hint of aggression. i'm still hoping though that it gets a massive power upgrade  to thwart the upcoming RS6

facelift for both 1-series and 5-series will be official in January or possible in the beginning of Februar.

a lot of goodies is coming for the 5-series...

? I don't see any M5.

The one on the left looks like just a normal 5 with Sport bodykit. Maybe new wheels (which are pretty), but definitely not a spyshot for an M5 facelift.

One on the right's the 5-series with a new bumper, which isn't a facelift, really. And the wheel on the picture is ridiculous.

Anyways, I don't know if there were more pictures to go along with the article, but I doubt they'll facelift the M5. There's not "enough" of them being produced to justify such move...unless you're BMW...then maybe.

^ Maybe so. . . just like they never really facelifted the E46 M3, well, except for the LED taillights anyways.

The 5 series is perfect the way it is in my opinion.. hope they don't do too much to the front.

See one everyday as JC says these cars are like pylons hideous but you get used to em after a while. Very true hardly even notice the focus anymore.
