"Scientists dont understand why they are so much larger.... (3seconds later) we do know they are missing a growth inhibiting gene"

gee i cant figure out why they are so big.

but yeah, its basically the coolest animal ever.

I saw this the other day and damn, that thing is huge! I have heard of Ligers before but never really believed it was a real animal, I suppose technically it isnt since it only exists in captivity through proper breeding, like a burro, etc. Either way, that is one cool looking beast. It looks so friendly with that guy too...I wonder if he rides it like a horse, that would be something.

Very beautiful animal!

I like the shots that show the tiger together with it. It seems that it pays some respect for the Liger

Do the chickens have large talons?

with a freaken 12 guage

I saw it in person about 6 months ago. When it growls it sounds like something from Jurassic park. For such a heavy animal (or even one much lighter) it moves very quickly. I will try to post some of the pictures I took of it later.

i give it 2 years before that thing turns at least one of it's handlers into something unrecognizable

And here i thought Ligers were just figments of Napoleon Dynamite's imagination

yeah that does bring up a good point, but also it maybe smaller. b/c it wouldn't get food on a normal basis.
