Great noise from that V8 engine.

except it can out run a Z51.... just not in the braking department, but ~fairly close~ in the handling department.

The numbers I've seen show them as pretty much neck and neck in every catagory, with the C6 usually getting the edge. Car and Driver also ran a test of both cars back to back, so they would've been in the same conditions and thus fairly accurate as far as a direct comparison goes, and the C6 only lost to the GT500 in the 50-70mph pull (by 3-tenths), the other 8 performance catagories were won by the C6.

Absolutely believeable. Notice the wet ground...of course you're going to drive your CGT slow. It's a handful when the pavement is dry. :wink: I think it actually gives face to Porsche and knows that the GT500 really isn't in the same class. He didn't say he couldn't find a car he liked in Germany, just that he couldn't stand to be in the US with the GT500 and the speed limits. Of course, who the F can afford the CGT anyways (except MagWheel) :lol:

actually, the GT500 feels quite a bit faster, and I would offer will match a C5 Z06 in the 1/4 mile within .1 of a second....

every magazine article to date that I've read doesn't actually hold the truth about the cars capablities... It without a doubt is at least 1 second faster then the 03/04 Cobras, which puts it right smack dab against the C5 Z06, and possibly faster then the C6 coupe.

the magazines so far have been garbage at the test numbers for 0-60, 0-100, 1/4 mile.

Funny, but what if the CGT had put his foot down :mrgreen:
