it's a design study into lighter materials like aluminum & carbon fiber. the car uses 1 door hinge for the lambo doors.

What are you going on about this time? No one, literally no one, in this thread has praised the car for its looks, and most assuredly no one has gone to their knees to suck BMW for the car.

It is yet another silly "small coupe" from BMW... the roads are littered with those stupid Z3 and Z4 chick cars with hardly any perforamnce, high prices and ugly looks.

Does the world really need yet another BMW "inbetween undecided what class to be in" model?

I'd have said the comment about power to weight about most any reasonable looking sportscar with those attributes. And whether it's from your head being shoved too far up your ass or what, I don't know, but 330hp in a car that light is far from a 'chick car with hardly any performance'.

Simply opening a history book and READING the story about how and why and when the Beetle production moved would be enough for anyone with an IQ over 20 to figure out that the Beetle was only made in Mexico and Brazil because of the LACK of SAFETY and EMMISION standards, and the car would have been killed off in 1985 had it not been for this fact.

This alone, means the Beetle did not stay in "uninterupted production" for the duration.

But for a childish hater such as yourself that simply wants to find a way to post and spew hatred for and about others opinions what else would one excpect.

Oh - and if you pulled your head out of your arse long enough to read the actual thread with some comprehension, then you would have determined that through mutual sharing and appreciation it has come to light that the Morgan 4/4 in fact is the longest running production car while meeting some very simply and basic criteria...

Remain true to the original formula and be produced in the country of origin.

330bmw-hp "in a car this light" will result in a "chick car with hardly any performance".

As proof we have 10,000's of similar BMW's all over the world.. they (BMW) have yet to produce a decent light weight car in the modern era.. even there super-ultra-expensive-uber-light-weight versions of their cars in street trim are over weight pigs.

Oh - and the rest are rather slow hair-dresser cars.. - the Z3 and Z4 come to mind. :twisted:

Now - when they are stripped down and prepped for race-track work, they take on another persona completly though :P
