a guy posted that one guy owned a Bentley Dominator ??? what tha fu*k is that

It is a car based on a Range Rover basis that was made for the Sultan of Brunei by Bentley. It's an off roader with Bentley design and features. I think there is a post about an article in Top Gear in the forum.

The Bentley Dominator marks the first 4x4 ever made by Bentley (1998). It was built on a range rover chassis with a Bentley V8. The Sultan of Brunei (who else) has been seen with 3 different Dominators: one is black, one in yellow and the last in red.

Here we go again. Porsche making jeeps, jaguar making Combi's and now I find out that Bentley have come up with a SUV. What the hell is going on ??

So if you have the money and are willing to pay the price Bentley (at least in 1998) is willing to built to order and put their name and reputation on it :fadein:

The sultan must have a real bad taste when it comes to Jeeps. This is a damn ugly car. Wonder why bentley made them. Usually bentley makes nice cars, but the Dominator is a real ugly car. The Sultan should have paid a lot of money to get Bentley build this monster!

The price could be in millions of pounds. Usually, a salon's prototype cost at least 500.000 £ to build and more often 1000.000 £. I read somewhere that Bentley made a serie of 3 convertibles for him at 3.000.000 each !!!

I'm sure that the price for any custom car from a manufacturer like Ferrari and Bentley is astronomical. A lot of time goes in the prodcution, design etc of a car, and to make a one off they have to charge millions of pounds.

I wish I was the sultan of brunei...if you read the article in TopGear magazine it said he had a spending habit of $750,000 a day(roughly). He has over 2000 cars including several McLarens and a Porsche 962...yes I think we should all go over there and "borrow" some of his cars
