Thanks for the link. I saw this on the news the other day. I never really like commodores, but I love the LSx engines. I do like the new look of the car. More aggressive then the present car but not out right mean. Looks more like a racer then the current model.

Yeah I actually dont mind the look of the new one for once. 8)

Will have to wait for some good photo's of it in the next little while.

But yeah will be interesting to see what it turns out like, seeing as this is the make or break car for them. If it doesnt go well it will be the last Commodore made in Australia for sure.

With fuel being so expensive here and with the huge distances people travel, why didnt they push the diesel or LPG more?

Heres some new info I found

"And, while Holden is claiming the $45,490 price of the SS has been reduced by $8400, it's really a bit of a case of smoke and mirrors.

That's because the Commodore SS effectively replaces the SV8 as the entry-level to the sporty range of Holden V8 variants. Like the SV6 things like leather seats and curtain airbags cost another $2500.

The SS-V - with its leather trim and larger alloy wheels - is a closer match to the old SS when it comes to specification levels. So its $51,990 price tag (for the manual version) represents a $200 increase over the previous SS."

Looks like they are revamping the entire naming system of the range. :?

Also the video of the VE unveiling http://media.drive.com.au/?rid=20393...1&flash=0&ie=0
After watching this video I realised the head of Holden was American, dont remember about that happening. I thought that would have been big news.

rebadged chevrolet for the arabs

Starting with the VY followed by the VZ, and now the VE. They all looked like Honda Accords.

Just look at the VE's tail lights.
