Raikkonen&Alonso. Montreal 06. Comparative lap

I hope you can see the differences between the two drivers (I can't :D)

As usual, Alonso cranks the wheel a lot more than anyone else I've seen. Check out this shot and look at the position of the wheel, there's nearly a quarter-turn more lock on Alonso's wheel than Raikkonen's.

Great find, thanks a lot :)

Yea Alonso has always seemed to prefer a tendancy towards understeer, where he just slams the wheel as far as he can haha.

And yea the locations of the cars through the corner is slightly different, but I thought of that before I took that screen, and Kimi's steering position hasn't changed by the time he reaches that part.

direct comparisons are hard cos Alonso was a bit further ahead and when you pause to look, Alonso will seem to be turning in harder and further inside the corner than Kimi. Other than that I can't really see much difference.

It's not that hard to pause at one moment when Alonso is at a certain point, then pause it again a hair later when Kimi is at the same spot.

Cool video, the real driver who mostly drives of the perfect line or different to the other drivers is David Coulthard, I always noticed that when he was still in the McLaren and much in the attention of the camera :?
