Houston 6-23 SuperlightR, Exige, GT3 RSR, MTI Z07, GT3 etc

TT 06-24-2006 04:31 PM

Pehtren 06-24-2006 04:43 PM

Thanks RC :)

TT will understand.. sometimes you have to respect the other peoples privacy....

...besides, I don't want to give away too many of the future test cars identities.. :P ;)

Pehtren 06-24-2006 05:47 PM

Oh oh i understand .... :P

No head-to-head contests this time..

..well, that's not entirely true.... the SLR owner took me out for a serious session of thrashing and we chased down the MTI Z07 fairly quickly. But in his defense, he was out there doing suspension and brake test and tune, so his 427ci, 600bhp, 3000lb, coil-over supended T1 spec MTI Z07 (427ci C5 Z06) was not running at the level he could run it ;)

But it was fun... as these sequetial screen shots from the video show, you catch up in the bends then get left on the straight:

Nice work - Slr must have been alright - Are you a convert? Wheres the vid link?

RC45 06-24-2006 07:17 PM

No doubt the car is fun... but you also need a high hp car to fill in the gaps.

TT 06-25-2006 04:30 AM

I am sure a 250+ hp Caterham could fill the gaps a bit :P

RC45 06-25-2006 09:07 AM

I don't know so much - 50hp may not be enough for 2-up fun - the extra weight of the extra person is immidiatly felt.

Lets say 300hp... ;)

We will have a better bench mark with the Radical and the Ulitma... ooops - I didn't mean to let that slip... :P ;)

Pehtren 06-25-2006 10:05 AM

Rc please tell me that you will do this test with BMWs M cars ? :P

Does this mean there is a serious interest in this type of review test?

If so - I will try my best to take personal requests, popular demand and general interest into account when these are arranged.

The take a lot of effort and organizing - so knowing that the results and output are appreciated and enjoyed will help determine how many more happen :)

I am sure an M3 could be arranged ;)

This IS a car forum, what do you think? ;)

I'll request a Veyron test please, and maybe a 250GTO at some stage.

Pehtren 06-25-2006 10:22 AM

Yes im very interested, M3 would be perfect. Too bad that you dont have the M3 CSL.

Anyway thanks in advance RC. :D
