Best Motoring: AWD Battle

Gallardo, 911 C4, EVO IX, Impreza STI, all the cars are all wheel drive....but , wait, Tsuchiya drives his own NSX-R. Is he going to be able to beat the AWD machinery?

Pretty stupid how they let an EVO beat a Carrera 4 and some how have a close battle between a Gallardo and the NSX-R. I love how they drive the Jap cars 5x as hard as the other cars... especially the NSX-R

An Evo IX should beat a Carrera 4, and as for the NSX-R v. Gallardo, I would imagine Tsuchiya probably knows every in and out of the NSX-R by now, and would be able to get the maximum out of it compared to the guy in the Gallardo. Add to the fact that there are very few places where the Gallardo can actually stretch its legs, and it evens out the race quite a bit. Of course it didn't hurt that Tsuchiya got out in front long before the Gallardo got into clear air as well, allowing him to put some distance between them while the Gallardo was in traffic.

Good race, the NSX-R hnadled better at the corners while the Gallarado was strongest at the straights. Didn't expect the STI to fail after the 1st lap.

IIRC the EVO had Advan 046 tires, maybe those tires were better for track use than the Pilot Sport the Carrera 4 had.....

^precisely, Advans are def. much sportier than the crappy Michelins the Porsche is wearing.

I think the Carrera should have done better, I think whoever was driving that car was trying to drive it like a 4wd rather than a 911 and it ended up effecting the lap time.

As for JDM vs Euro, I think its right to say that they beat the crap out of the JDMs and go easy on the Euros but it has to be said that you wouldnt want to pay the bill for a Lambo service now wouldya???
