Trackday pics + F430CH passenger ride video!

Well, well, well. I had another brilliant day yesterday......headed for the track at around 7am in my friends 328.

Once on the freeway we caught the truck carrying the car I was so excited to see at the track - the F430 Challenge. Only 5 in Australia and this is the only one in Perth.

Little did I know about 6hrs later I would be going around the track in it for some hot laps. It was only a matter of asking and waiting my turn. I've already been around the track in the road-going F430 so I was keen to feel the difference. Straight line speed wasn't noticeably better but in the corners is where you felt it - my neck was sore after those few laps. The gearchange also feels alot more abrupt, plus its noiser in the cabin and alot less comfortable. I can't imagine driving the thing in an endurance race - I'd be stuffed!

Anyway here is an in-car video I took: http://www.ozcarsightings.com/430CH_Barbagallo.WMV

Now to the pics - taken with my new camera, a Canon 350D for those not aware. ;)

Yep it is and I raped it!

Dude, tell me you don't regret a bit having bought the 350D with such short "wondering time" :!:

It was totally worth the money. Picture quality went up a notch and especially panning shots which are now perfectly noise-free!

The pics are brillant, as we are used to, but even better image quality wise! The 430 Challenge with no stickers is such a stunner!!!!!!! Yellow AMV8 is damn cool too because quite rare, but the pearl of the day to my eyes is that mouthwatering blue 355

THANKS!

As for the contest, I'd like to pick one of the 430's pics, but the first panning shot of the V8 is so damn sharp.. not sure what to do ;)

Hmmm, the 430CH would probably attract more votes but the V8 panning shot is the better photo - need to think about it. ;)

Nice dingo, very nice! Looks like money well spent on the 350D! :)

Fantastic pictures ! :D

I guess you definitely want to throw the 18-55 away now

Nah, it still has its uses. The shot of the 430CH on the back of the truck was taken with the 18-55 for example.

Also today I did a photoshoot where it was necassary due to the cramped surroundings in one of the locations......but yes whenever possible I'll use the 70-300. :D

Ok, it's clear, you need a replacement for the 18-55. :P 8)

Heh, that's what I meant to say, first you want to throw it through the window and then "wait, what if there's less than 10 meters space around the car" ... and you just start saving money for a replacement :P
