uhm. I am not too sure this is supposed to be funny.
There is a Japanese thing - kind of like a sport - where you have to create a useful/useless object.
In other words it has to be something you can use, yet at the same time it is not something you'd use.
Really tricky thing. I don't have the time to research the thing now. But its all stuff like this.

Its called Chindogu.
The english name is "Unuseless".
And a rule: "humour must not be the sole reason for creating chindogu"
You'll see its actually very hard to make one and follow all the rules.
