Yet another Geneva motorshow topic. It's getting boring :P
Still I want to show you my pics. I didn't take that many as last year, but enough to make a topic :)
Let's get the ball rolling with the car that amazed me the most, the new 599 GTB Fiorano. At first I didn't like it at all, in fact I thought it was ugly. But after seeing it in flesh, I made a hand-brake turn. And now I love it. It's a very good looking car IMO, of course not as good-looking as a f355 or 456. But it is one of the better looking recent Ferraris. I had this change of mind with previous Ferrari models, but not to this extend. In short: I like it, and the shaped are hard to catch into pics. You have to see it in real before passing a final judgment.

Over to one of the other major premiers, this time in the German camp. The new 997TT together with the new 997 GT3. Judging from the pics I preferred the looks of the GT3 over the Turbo and things haven't changed after my Geneva visit. The GT3 looks more pure, more elegant. But the Turbo looks better in flesh as on the pics. On paper it looked too 'macho' with the wide exhaust tips positioned in the rear bumpers, the front bumper dressed with spicy sauce, and the new wheels, which don't feel as elegant as the 993 and 996 style ones. But in reality it's all good, those details are not that eye-catching as I imagined it would be. The car still looks like a real 911 Turbo, though beefed up a bit. But if I had to pick one of the new 997's, I'd go for the GT3. And the 993TT still is my all time favourite 911 Turbo :D

Time for some thee at the Aston Martin stand. As I expected, the Rapide concept car car looked mouth-watering gorgeous, though it still used the same mix of new AM organs, used at first in the DB9, and ruminated with the new V8 Vantage. But what's wrong with using those delicious lines again? Another eye catcher was a pearl white AMV8. Most people didn't like the colour. But since I'm a sucker for unconventional colours, I just dig it. @ AM: if you don't find an owner for this particular car, can always park it on my driveway ;)

On the Japanese side, there is this EVO concept car. It looks different form the previous EVO's, but it's still very recognizable as an EVO. They may just put it in production like this, I really like this edgy design.

Also the Swedes came up with some new stuff or concept cars. The must attractive one was the Saab Aero X concept. It looks very good IMO. We'll never see it in production though. But apparently some styling and thechnology bits out of this concept will be used on future production models. On the other side of the motorshow there was the new Volvo S80. It looks better and younger as the previous model, but still very businesslike without much emotion, just like a Volvo :D

And than the Veyron. Well what has to be said. We've seen it on about every major motorshow in the last 5 years and now it has hit production. It still looks the same as it did last year and almost the same as it did the first time it appeared on a motorshow. The only thing that's left is to catch it on the streets. Someone spotted one in front to a dealership somewhere in the outskirts of Geneva the weekend I was there. But I missed it :bah: I guess I'll have some other opportunities to see it on the road in the future...

Another supercar maker, which has put itself on the map with the other major supercars in the last years, by making one hell of a machine. I'm talking about Pagani of course. I'm still very fond of the Zonda. It was a very good and fast machine when it was launched, but over the years it got better and faster. And now we have the Zonda F and F Roadster. I'm wondering, can they get another step further? In Geneva both F's were displayed. A two tone red-carbon fibre coupé and an all carbon fibre Roadster. The all carbon fibre no paint job looks cool, but I preferred the colour looks of the coupé, certainly because the red looked a bit like Ferrari's Rosso Rubino, though a bit brighter and more orange-like. And this red just complements the carbon fibre beautiful. Enough said, here are the pics. I admit I went a bit nuts on the details (I won't post all those detailed pics). But this car just is terrifically detailed. I love it :D

The new Opel GT (the Euro version of the Pontiac Solstice). Not bad looking at all, but on the other hand It didn't have a wow-effect on me. The stand was very nice though, with the waterwalls.
